FESTA di BELLONA MARIA SS. DI GERUSALEMME

Every year on Easter Sunday in my Father's town of Bellona, which is a small town in the city of Caserta (in Naples, Italy) they celebrate the FESTA di BELLONA MARIA SS. DI GERUSALEMME. 

This is where they take the statue of the Madonna from the town's church, place her on a large, gorgeous float of fresh flowers and carry her to every corner of the entire town so everyone can see her. It is the final celebration of a week of cconcerts, church services, prayer and carnival. It is an honor to be one of the men to carry her. Men wait years to be called upon to serve.

My cousin sent me a photo of this year's event. This is a long, incredible tradition and I am so happy that I have experienced it several times in my life. It's a celebration every one should see once in their life.

A Little known fact about ME

PRINCE

So last night I saw Prince for about the 6th or 7th time. It was nothing short of religious. I could go on and on about the music, the musicianship, the stage presence, the songs...but words do all of it ZERO justice. Until you witness it for yourself can you understand his talent and greatness. The night started at the Forum in LA with MINT CONDITION opening up. Yeah...those guys are BEASTS! Prince took the stage and basically ripped it to spreads inviting Cuba Gooding Jr. & Sheila E. up on stage to dance with him. Then Prince goes to the piano and starts to play "How Come You Don't Call Me" and my intuition said "Alicia Keys is gonna sing"...I was right. He did about 3 encores...I personally never wanted to leave. 21 nights at the Forum... the answer is YES..I will be going to more shows!

Add Voice Over Actor...

to my list of talents! ; )

When I lived in NYC I studied voice overs and did my first reel. I booked jobs for the WE Network & Mattel pretty immediately but when I moved to LA my focus was solely songwriting so I threw acting and voice overs on the back burner. Well... 2011 was my year of dusting those talents off! I enrolled in the Radio Ranch for Voice Overs and with Carolyne Barry to study Acting with Don Bloomfield & Improv with Donovan Scott.

I intend on taking animation/video game v/o classes as well as narration and audio books.. but for now, I have my commercial reel to toot!
